Saddle Bronc rider, Isaac Diaz won his second consecutive WCRA Major event at Rodeo Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, TX on May 14th! He hung on for 3rd in the long go, making it back to the showdown round. Diaz was first out, scoring 80 points, edging out 4 X NFR Qualifier, Cole Elshere and TX cowboy, Gus Gillard for the $15,000 win. This win puts Diaz in position to be the second Triple Crown of Rodeo winner. It will come down to Rodeo Carolina, held at the Tryon International Equestrian Center and Resort in Mill Spring, NC on October 5th-8th. Diaz shared, “Win or lose, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to even have a chance at this life-changing money.” Hopefully we see Diaz win one million dollars in October.
