NFR 2019 RESULTS RD7 – RFTW Kickoff

We spent the night celebrating Wesley Thorp’s Round 7 NFR win and spent the morning with the future generation of rodeo athletes at the RopeSmart Rope for the World Kids’ Dummy Roping.

Young ropers in the age 7-9  age group gathered at the Plaza Hotel as we kicked off the first day of the Rope for the World dummy roping, where they competed to win a custom RopeSmart saddle, dummy, Legend Tack & Silver Buckles, Sutton Ropes, Wrangler and Boot Barn gift certificates, and more. 1st place was awarded to 9-year-old roper Beau Holmes from Bluff Utah, who secured the win by slicking two horns from 21 feet away. 2nd place went to New Mexico’s Hunter Woodie, and 3rd went to 8 year old California roper Colt Bray.

Tomorrow will kick off the 10-12 age group,  followed by the 6 & Under age group on Saturday. Kids can still sign up to enter   online or the day of the event.
