Quinn Kesler born and raised in the small town of Holden, Utah just south of Salt Lake City, Utah. Quinn Kesler always knew he wanted to be a cowboy when he grew up. From the time he can remember he was obsessed with ropes and horses. Being raised up on the family ranch, The Double Dollar Ranch, located in Holden it was a given he was going to take up with livestock. Working alongside his family members led him to know that he wanted to be a “Professional Team Roper” one day. Quinn trained horses on the family ranch and started roping with his dad. His father then decided to enter him up in a few junior rodeos and then on to team ropings that his family had been producing in the local areas. By this point, he knew what his career path would be.
When Quinn turned eighteen years old he got his permit card and went to some rodeos. Quinn also took some time to go on a two-year mission thru his church. When he returned he purchased his PRCA card in 2015. Quinn earned ” The 2015 Resistol Rookie of the year” title. Kesler has no plans to slow down while on the road traveling with his wife and roping partner Matt Sherwood. His focus this year is to make it to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada in December.
With all the pressures traveling down the road, the ups and downs, the good and the bad his advice are “to stay positive, don’t be afraid to learn new things from others, stay focused, and work hard”.
One of Kesler’s favorite products he uses when the ropes are the Blue Viper Bands. Quinn said “The Blue ViperBands make it easy so the crown of my ropes doesn’t fill up with burnt rubber. This makes it so my coils don’t get kinked and I can get a better and safer dally. All in all, it helps my ropes last longer and for a quicker and safer run”.
Welcome Quinn Kesler, we here at Ropesmart are glad you are part of the Pro Level RopeSmart Team.
