Rylie Smith takes home second in the average in the team roping at the 2019 WPRA Finals.
WPRA Team Roping Division:
Rylie Smith with non-other that excellent runs at the WPRA finals. Kicking it off with a 7.5 and a 7.9 in the 1st go with partners, Hope Thompson (heeler) and Beverly Robbins (header). But, Martha Angelone managed to be just a little quicker with a 6.6 with partner Amanda Coleman which secured her first go win.
In the 2nd go of the team roping, Rylie took 4th at an 8.9 with Thompson, and 9th at an 11.9 with Robbins.
In the 3rd go of the team roping, Rylie snagged 6th with an 11.6 with Robbins, again. Whitney Thurmond took 7th with partner Abigayle Hampton clocking at a 12.5.
Martha Angelone got it done in the 4th go of the team roping with partner Taylor Munsell at a 6.3, taking 1st. Rylie wasn’t far behind, tieing for 3rd (with Robbins) at a 7.1.
Miss Rylie Smith stayed consistent with Robbins over the finals and took home 2nd in the team roping average.
WPRA Breakaway Roping Division:
The competition was hot in the breakaway roping.
Rylie brought it in the first go with a 2.5, which put her in a five-way tie for 4th. Martha took home some money in the third go of the breakaway roping with a 2.3 which was a three-way tie for the 7th place spot. She also brought the heat in the fourth go with a 2.2 to take 5th.
WPRA Tie-Down Roping Division:
With back to back events, Rylie Smith was staying consistent in the tie-down roping. In the second go, she took 2nd with 14.6. Rylie took the win in the fourth go with a 12.6, which put her second in the average.
